Black Sabbath

After being heavily sampled in early industrial and hip-hop, a myth emerged that sampling Black Sabbath's 'Supernaut' brought bad luck to the sampling artist.
Originally called Earth, they changed their name after seeing a 1963 Boris Karloff film titled�Black Sabbath�across the street from their rehearsal room.

Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2006
Awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (Grammy) in 2019
