Some claim the album cover for Street Survivors, which showed the band surrounded by flames, eerily predicted their fatal 1977 plane crash. The cover was changed after the event.
A mocking tribute to their high school gym teacher, Leonard Skinner, who was notorious for enforcing the school's policy against long hair. They changed the spelling to avoid legal issues.
