- Born Marshall Bruce Mathers III on 17 October 1972 in Missouri, US.
- He appeared in The Interview as himself in a shocking “coming out” gag scene. Funny to some, cringe and controversial to many others.
- After a near-fatal overdose, his friends and family stepped in, pushing him into rehab and complete sobriety.
- Dropped out after failing 9th grade three times. Struggles with poverty and bullying pushed him toward rap battles—and eventually global domination.
- Following a near-fatal methadone overdose in 2007, Eminem completely turned his life around. He is now over a decade sober and openly speaks about recovery in his music.
- Early in his career, Eminem allegedly claimed to be younger to better connect with a younger rap audience.
- Was a cook before becoming famous.
