Notes

Born David Robert Jones on 08 January 1947 in England, UK.
Died on 10 January 2016 in New York, US.
Trivia
2
It's a common belief that David Bowie had heterochromia (two different colored eyes). In reality, an injury in a fight over a girl left one pupil permanently dilated, creating the illusion of a different color.
Some fans believed David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust character was not an act, but that he was genuinely possessed by an alien persona, leading to his erratic behavior in the mid-70s.
Awards
3
Nominated for the Favourite Pop/Rock Male Artist by American Music Award (AMA) in 1984
Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 1996
Awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award by National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (Grammy) in 2006
