A myth claims Roger Daltrey's iconic stutter on The Who's song was because he had a cold during recording. It was an intentional artistic choice.
Their original name was The Detours. They briefly changed to The High Numbers before settling on The Who because their manager thought it was short, memorable, and would look good on posters.
